When did you join Myca Health? In February 2006. What was the opportunity/challenge that appealed to you most? The challenge to work in a start-up (we were only 5 people at the time) – trying to do an innovative application in the health sector. What particular leadership skills do you use every day? My organizational skills. What past experience best prepared you for your role at Myca Health? Being a project manager at CAE – a flight simulator company. I managed huge projects, traveled around the world and learned a lot about different cultures and people – the healthcare problems seemed to be a common theme everywhere. Finish this sentence: I know I’ll have met my own expectations here when _________? We become the world leader in the healthcare IT sector. Do you have a professional hero? Yes, Steve Jobs. A Tuesday afternoon meeting is cancelled at the last minute. How do you spend the unexpectedly free time? Catching up with my employees – they always need to have more time with me. Richard Branson once said: “I’m not in the airline business. I’m in the business of entertainment at 32,000 feet.” Can you redefine what Myca does in a similar way? Myca is not in the business of healthcare. We are in the business of improving communications among everyone involved in the health of an individual. Favorite movie of all time and why.
